Preparation for Pilot Training Programs in the USA
We can prepare and support pilot training recruits who must face the challenging task of becoming confident and competent pilots. First, they must become successful students in an English-speaking environment.
By working with a live instructor via webcam (or in person in Denton, Texas, USA), students will move from passive to active learning before they arrive in the USA for their aviation course. Reading texts, or memorizing vocabulary and phrases, will not prepare them for the lively, fluent discussions and decisive communication required of an aviation student or airline pilot. Basics of Aviation English
Learn the basics of Aviation English before you attend an aviation course in the United States. This includes aviation vocabulary, listening and speaking via webcam with a professional, experienced ESL/EAL instructor!
More than Aviation English
For pilots to become confident and competent in the cockpit - they must command the English language naturally and fluently, using MORE than aviation English. To perform well in the classroom during your pilot training program and beyond - you need to practice all of the language skills - listening and speaking especially. And, you need to master English tenses, in order to communicate effectively in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment like aviation.
EFF instructors don't lecture. We provide reasons and opportunities for you to speak English accurately, after new grammar and vocabulary are introduced in each lesson. So you will experience 70-90% student-talking-time in your EFF lessons!
Accent Reduction
You MUST understand and BE UNDERSTOOD as an airline pilot. All EFF courses include general accent reduction exercises or advice - but we can also create a specialized program just for you and your English-pronunciation challenges.
Continuing Support
Each course is adapted to target the specific needs of our clients and students.
You can also arrange for continuing support from your personal instructor - if ever you need it during your pilot training program, in preparation for your final oral exams, or after you begin your career as an airline pilot!
